Travel Tails: All Bark and No Bite

Travel Tails Across America
What might it be like to read the same book across America and engage in a nationwide discussion about friendship, acceptance, and kindness? We would LOVE to find out!
To celebrate Read Across America Week, we’re inviting educators across the country to share our book, Travel Tails: All Bark and No Bite, in their classrooms. A FREE read-aloud version is available on our new YouTube Channel, Travel Tails Books.
After listening to the read-aloud with your class, have your students explain how the characters demonstrate friendship and acceptance in the story. Then, challenge your students to “catch” each other being kind! When they see a classmate or staff member showing kindness, have them write the example on the tennis ball template. Set a goal for the week and encourage your students to notice the small things they can do to help others.
At the end of the week, display the tennis balls on a wall and tally up acts of kindness. Let’s see “Catching Kindness in Classrooms from Coast to Coast!”
**Want to win a signed copy of our book and a buddy for your classroom? Snap a photo of your “Catching Kindness” display and share it on our Facebook page @Travel Tails Books!
